It is SO COLD.
Sure, Chicago is 13 degrees F, and Alicante is 48. HOWEVER...
Our house (in Illinois) is at least heated to 70 or so.
I think this apartment is the exact temp it is outside.
What I am not looking forward to: NO DRYER!
I was fortunate enough to have a dryer at my last host family's house, even though it was VERY rare.
Now, when I do laundry, I will go from being cold and layering up, to putting on air-dried clothes that are semi-wet and 50 degrees. BRRR!
I don't think my muscles have stopped contracting from shivering since I stepped of the plane in Alicante.
Also: after I showered yesterday, I saw the steam coming off of my body. THAT IS HOW COLD IT IS.

Se calentará, te prometo!!! I definitely had steam coming off my body post-shower the first few weeks there. Just always bring along your trusty hoodie and you'll be good to go!
ReplyDeletesoon I hope! Even the host family says it's unregularly cold. But they said that last year during the madrid tour, too!
